Monthly Design is Korea’s leading design magazine, serving as a platform that presents design values and new possibilities across society. Under the theme of ‘Agriculture Design’, it explored how farming can be connected to the lifestyle of urban dwellers, and we sought to view urban farming and dining as part of a continuous cycle.
By applying the familiar forms of cutlery such as forks and spoons to three types of trowels and a watering can, we embodied a set of gardening tools that merge agricultural implements with dining utensils. Refined metal materials and elegant lines were employed to achieve both functional integrity and visual wit, ultimately demonstrating how urban farming can extend beyond cultivation to enrich sensory experiences at the dining table.

월간디자인은 한국을 대표하는 디자인 전문 매거진으로, 사회 전반의 디자인적 가치와 새로운 가능성을 제시하는 담론의 장이다. ‘애그리컬처 디자인’이라는 주제 아래 농업이 도시인의 라이프스타일과 어떻게 연결될 수 있는가를 탐구하고자 하였으며, 우리는 도시 농업과 식탁 경험을 하나의 순환적 흐름으로 새롭게 해석하였다.
포크와 스푼 같은 커트러리의 형태를 모종삽 3종과 물뿌리개에 적용하여, 농업 기구와 식탁 도구가 결합된 가드닝 도구로 구현하였다. 고급 금속 소재와 유려한 라인은 기능적 완성도와 시각적 위트를 동시에 담아내었으며, 이를 통해 도시 농업이 단순한 재배를 넘어 식탁 위 감각적 경험으로 이어질 수 있는 가능성을 보여주고자 하였다.
