Sansu is a brand that advocates sustainable use over disposable consumption. “I’m eco Cutlery” was designed to naturally communicate the values of environmental responsibility and sustainability through everyday dining experiences. We focused on the widespread reliance on disposable tableware and believed that products designed for long-term use could offer one of the most practical approaches to sustainable living. Based on this idea, we developed cutlery that balances usability, durability, and recyclability.
The seamless one-piece construction eliminates unnecessary elements, making the product easy to clean and maintain while also simplifying the recycling process. The ergonomically curved handle fits naturally in the hand, providing a comfortable grip and an effortless user experience in everyday use. An engraved message on the back of the product further reinforces Sansu’s philosophy, allowing the brand’s values to be subtly communicated through the object itself.
Rather than presenting sustainability as a grand statement, “I’m eco Cutlery” encourages it as a small habit embedded in everyday life. The project demonstrates how environmentally conscious choices can become a natural part of daily routines, integrating awareness of sustainable consumption into everyday user experiences.

산수는 일회용 소비에서 벗어나 지속 가능한 사용성을 지향하는 브랜드다. ‘I'm eco 커트러리’는 이러한 자연 친화적 가치와 지속가능성에 대한 메시지를 일상 속에서 자연스럽게 전달할 수 있도록 디자인되었다. 우리는 일회용 식기에 의존하는 소비 습관에 주목하며, 오래 사용할 수 있는 제품이야말로 가장 현실적인 친환경 실천이 될 수 있다고 생각하였다. 이를 바탕으로 사용성과 내구성, 그리고 재활용 가능성까지 고려한 커트러리를 제안하였다.
불필요한 요소를 제거한 일체형 구조는 이음새 없이 제작되어 세척과 관리가 용이하며, 제품 수명이 다한 이후에도 재활용이 쉽도록 설계되었다. 곡면 중심의 손잡이 디자인은 손에 자연스럽게 안착되어 편안한 파지감을 제공하며, 일상 속에서 반복적으로 사용하더라도 부담 없는 사용성을 제공한다. 또한 제품 후면에는 산수의 메시지를 담은 음각 레터링을 적용하여, 단순한 식기를 넘어 브랜드가 지향하는 가치를 자연스럽게 전달한다.
‘I'm eco 커트러리’는 지속가능성을 거창한 선언이 아닌 일상 속 작은 습관으로 제안한다. 환경을 생각하는 선택이 특별한 실천이 아닌 자연스러운 일상이 될 수 있음을 보여주며, 지속가능한 소비에 대한 인식을 사용자 경험 속에 녹여낸다.
