This project, carried out in collaboration with KT&G, addresses the environmental pollution caused by smoking by proposing portable and in-car ashtray designs aimed at preventing littering and promoting eco-conscious behavior.
The products are made from eco-friendly wood-based bioplastic, reflecting KT&G’s ESG strategy and alignment with environmental protection campaigns. The design seeks to show that even small actions within smoking culture can contribute positively to the environment.
The portable ashtray is compact enough to be worn as a necklace accessory, with a serrated pattern and simple open-close mechanism for improved usability and portability. The car ashtray is designed to fit securely in a cup holder, with a wide opening and easy-to-clean structure to enhance convenience in everyday use.

KT&G와 함께한 본 프로젝트는 흡연으로 인한 환경 오염 문제에 주목해, 무단 투기 예방과 친환경 메시지 전달을 목표로 한 휴대용 및 차량용 재떨이 디자인이다.
제품은 목분 기반 친환경 소재를 활용해 제작되었으며, KT&G의 ESG 전략 및 환경 보호 캠페인과의 연계를 고려하였다. 흡연 문화 속에서도 ‘작은 실천’이 환경에 긍정적 영향을 줄 수 있음을 제품을 통해 전달하고자 하였다.
휴대용 재떨이는 목걸이형 액세서리로 활용할 수 있도록 컴팩트하게 설계되었으며, 간편한 개폐 방식과 세레이션 패턴을 적용해 사용성과 휴대성을 높였다. 차량용 재떨이는 컵홀더에 안정적으로 수납될 수 있는 크기와 넓은 입구, 손쉬운 세척 구조로 설계되어 실사용 편의성을 극대화하였다.
