This project, in collaboration with KT&G, addresses environmental pollution caused by smoking by designing portable and in-vehicle ashtrays aimed at preventing littering and promoting eco-friendly behavior. The products are made using wood-based eco-friendly materials, aligning with KT&G’s ESG strategy and environmental campaigns. Through the design, the project emphasizes how small everyday actions within smoking culture can contribute to positive environmental impact.
The portable ashtray is compactly designed to be worn as a necklace, enhancing both usability and portability. It features an intuitive opening mechanism and a serration pattern that improves functionality. The in-vehicle ashtray is designed to fit securely into a cup holder, with a wide opening and an easy-to-clean structure, maximizing convenience in real-world use.

KT&G와 함께한 본 프로젝트는 흡연으로 인한 환경 오염 문제에 주목해, 무단 투기 예방과 친환경 메시지 전달을 목표로 한 휴대용 및 차량용 재떨이 디자인이다. 제품은 목분 기반의 친환경 소재를 활용해 제작되었으며, KT&G의 ESG 전략 및 환경 보호 캠페인과의 연계를 고려하였다. 흡연 문화 속에서도 ‘작은 실천’이 환경에 긍정적인 영향을 줄 수 있음을 제품을 통해 전달하고자 하였다.
휴대용 재떨이는 목걸이형 액세서리로 활용할 수 있도록 컴팩트하게 설계되었으며, 간편한 개폐 구조와 세레이션 패턴을 적용해 사용성과 휴대성을 높였다. 차량용 재떨이는 컵홀더에 안정적으로 수납될 수 있는 크기와 넓은 투입구, 손쉬운 세척 구조로 설계되어 실사용 편의성을 극대화하였다.
